Kristopher Holloway indicted for felonious assault in Toledo woods

Kristopher Holloway was indicted in Toledo following a violent altercation in a wooded area. A Lucas County grand jury charged the suspect for severely injuring an acquaintance.

The confrontation happened on Saturday afternoon in woods behind Alexis Rd. Police said the 48-year-old homeless man remained at the scene during initial emergency medical care. Officers arrested him quickly.

The 67-year-old victim suffered eight broken ribs in the Toledo dispute. The victim is listed in serious condition. He is expected to survive. He told police his friend assaulted him following a verbal argument.

Felonious assault charges in Ohio involve allegations of knowingly causing serious physical harm to another person. Grand jury indictments allow felony prosecutions to move forward through the Toledo court system.

A judge set bond at $150,000 during a court appearance on Monday. The formal indictment was issued on October 6.
