Send us a news tip

Most of what we publish starts with someone deciding to tell us something. Write to [email protected].

What helps us most:

• What happened, and when. Dates and locations let us start checking immediately.
• Documents, if you have them. An agenda packet, an invoice, an email chain, a photograph. We will never publish a document without verifying it independently.
• How we can reach you. Even if you do not want to be named, we usually need to be able to ask one follow-up question.

If you need to be confidential

Tell us up front, before you send anything sensitive, and we will agree on terms first. We will not name you in print without your agreement, and we do not hand over unpublished material or source identities voluntarily.

Please do not use a work email address or a work device to send us something your employer would object to — that trail is usually visible to them, and it is the most common way a source is identified.

Corrections

Spotted an error? [email protected]. Include the headline and what is wrong. We correct in the open, on the story itself, with a dated note explaining the change. You do not have to be the subject of the article to ask.

Letters to the editor

[email protected]. Around 250 words is the sweet spot. Include your name and the neighbourhood you are writing from; we verify every letter before publishing and we edit for length and clarity, never for viewpoint.

Advertising and sponsorship

[email protected] for rates and availability. Advertisers and sponsors have no access to editorial copy before publication and no influence over coverage; sponsored content is labelled on every placement.

Something broken on the site?

Tell us at [email protected] — a broken page, an image that will not load, a newsletter that stopped arriving. Mentioning your browser and the page address gets it fixed faster.
