Early Voting in Toledo: Final Days, Oct. 28 to Nov. 1
Early voting in Lucas County enters its final days on Oct. 28. One early vote center serves all county voters through Nov. 1. The center sits at the Lucas County Shared Offices Facility, 3737 W. Sylvania Ave. in Toledo. Voters enter through Entrance C at the back of the building. Hours run from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 28, Oct. 29 and Oct. 30.
Saturday, Oct. 31 brings hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 brings the last early voting hours, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. No in-person voting takes place on Monday, Nov. 2. Election Day falls on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Ohio requires an unexpired photo ID to vote in person. Acceptable forms include an Ohio driver’s license, a state ID, a U.S. passport or a military or VA ID.
Voters fill out a short application at the center. Voters then receive a ballot and cast it on the spot.
The absentee window has closed. Oct. 27 was the last day to request a vote-by-mail ballot in Ohio. Completed ballots must reach the Board of Elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
Voters can also use the drop box at the Lucas County Board of Elections. Toledo voters who need a ride to the polls can call 419-VoteNow.
Early voting is in-person voting before Election Day. Ohio holds early voting at one site per county. A drop box is a secure county box for completed ballots.
