A 1981 episode of the Nightly News at 6 has been unlocked in the 13abc Vault, offering a look at Toledo broadcast journalism from more than 40 years ago. The episode features anchors Randy Price, Frank Venner and Frank Gilhooley, along with meteorologist Stan Stachak.
The broadcast covers the day’s headlines, including two city boats that sank in the Maumee River and a bank robbery suspect caught 8 minutes after the alarm sounded.
“It’s a nostalgic look at how the news , and Toledo , looked more than four decades ago,” according to 13abc.
