Privacy Policy
The Glass City Ledger collects the minimum needed to run a news website, and we never sell reader data.
What we collect
- Server logs — your IP address, browser and the pages you requested, kept for 30 days to diagnose faults and block abuse.
- Newsletter signups — the email address you give us, and nothing else. It is used to send the newsletter and never passed on.
- Comments — the name, email and comment you submit, retained so conversations stay readable.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or trade reader data. We do not build advertising profiles of our readers, and we do not run third-party trackers that follow you off this site.
Cookies
We set a cookie to keep you logged in if you have an account, and to remember a comment form you have filled in. Nothing else is stored on your device by us.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in any issue. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
Sources
Material a source sends us is not covered by the above. We do not disclose unpublished material or source identities voluntarily. See our contact page before sending anything sensitive.
