Charlton Wallace dies after early morning two-vehicle crash in Toledo

Charlton Wallace died from his injuries in a Toledo collision early Sunday morning, police confirmed. Two other people were also taken to a hospital for treatment.

The two-vehicle wreck happened at N. Cove Blvd. and Central Ave. Wallace, 26, was a resident of Toledo.

According to Toledo Police, Wallace died of the injuries he suffered in the wreck. A 26-year-old man and a 29-year-old man sustained injuries.

One vehicle attempted to change lanes, according to Toledo Police. It hit the passenger side of the second vehicle.

Police received word through Apple’s Crash Detection Feature. Emergency dispatchers took that notification first, TPD said.

Crash detection systems automatically alert emergency responders when sensors register a severe impact. Officers routinely document the scene and interview surviving drivers in fatal wrecks. Investigators then complete an official collision report.
