Kyle McCue charged after shots fired at Whitehouse apartment complex

Kyle McCue faces multiple criminal charges after gunfire erupted at a Whitehouse apartment complex on Oct. 12. The incident triggered a brief standoff and sent an injured police officer to a local hospital.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired on the 6500 block of Field Avenue. The 27-year-old McCue is accused of firing several rounds at buildings at Andover Court Apartments. No one was shot.

One officer was hurt, according to police. The officer was treated at the scene. An ambulance took the officer to UTMC for a shoulder injury, according to police.

McCue was arrested following a brief standoff. A neighbor’s Ring camera captured part of the encounter in Whitehouse. A booking photo was not immediately available.

Police charged McCue with improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation. He faces an inducing panic charge. Police also charged him with resisting arrest involving physical harm to a law enforcement officer.

Police found several shell casings on his front porch. Officers executed a search warrant of his apartment. They found guns and ammunition inside, according to the report.

A bond sets the financial conditions required for an inmate to leave jail before trial. Whitehouse cases proceed to local courtrooms for initial appearances and preliminary hearings.

On Oct. 13, a judge set his bond at $70,000. He is set to appear in court again on Oct. 22.
